Ways to Treat Deep Wrinkles

Wrinkles are something that many people dread. Seen as a sign of aging, wrinkles are not uncommon, but most of us don’t buy into the idea of “aging gracefully!” As we grow older, the lines on our face where our skin naturally folds and creases begin to set in instead of smoothing back out after the face muscles contract. If you do not start treating your wrinkles early by moisturizing and using the proper creams while you are young, these wrinkles can become deep-set which means that are harder to remove. No simple cream or lotion will be able to treat deep wrinkles; they are only helpful for wrinkles on the surface of your skin. If you are looking to treat deep wrinkles, you will need a cosmetic surgeon or a dermatologist. There are several medical treatments that will help in treating deep wrinkles. Here’s a list:

Botox: Botox is designed to stop wrinkle-causing muscles from moving and creating deeper wrinkles. Botox is one of the less expensive options for treating deep wrinkles, but it only lasts three to six months and requires multiple treatments in one year.

Chemical Peels: Chemicals peels remove the old, damaged outer layer of skin and helps the deeper layers of skin start regenerating faster. A lot of people see immediate results and peels can be rather inexpensive compared to other methods.

Injectables: Injectables are hyaluronic fillers that replace the fat that was lost during the aging process. While injectables are a more expensive option, the results last longer, usually over six months.  Some people have noted looking five to ten years younger after using injectables.

Lasers: Lasers penetrate the skin and boost collagen production. As people age, collagen production decreases and makes their faces look thin. Increasing the collagen production can make your face look fuller and younger. There are immediate results, but they do not always fix all deep wrinkles.
